R129 and i-Size Safety

The Joie i-Gemm 3 meets the ECE R129/03 safety standard and has undergone side-impact testing. Its i-Size certification provides height-based usage guidance and compatibility with approved i-Size vehicle seating positions when used with a suitable base.

Tri-Protect™ Headrest

The Tri-Protect™ headrest combines three layers of protection around your baby’s head and neck. Patented Intelli-Fit™ memory foam inside the side wings helps absorb impact forces while providing soft and supportive cushioning.

Grow Together™ Adjustment

The Grow Together™ system adjusts the headrest and harness simultaneously as your baby grows. The harness straps do not need to be removed and manually rethreaded when the headrest height changes.

Newborn Comfort

Flexible Installation Options

The Joie i-Gemm 3 can be installed rear facing using the vehicle’s 3-point seat belt and the clearly marked green belt path.

It can also be installed using ISOFIX when paired with a compatible Joie base, including the i-Base™ Advance, i-Base™ lx 2, i-Base™ Encore or i-Base™ 2.

Compatible bases are sold separately and are not included with this infant car seat.

90-Degree Spinning Convenience

When paired with the Joie i-Base™ Encore, the infant carrier can rotate 90 degrees towards the vehicle door. This can make it easier to place your baby into the seat and remove them after a journey.

Travel-System Compatible

The i-Gemm 3 connects to most compatible Joie pushchairs and can also work with selected pushchairs using Maxi-Cosi®-style car-seat adapters. This allows parents to transfer a sleeping baby between the car and stroller without removing them from the infant carrier.

Pushchairs, adapters and car-seat bases are sold separately unless specifically included in another bundle.

Ergonomic Carry Handle and Rocking Base

The multi-position carry handle includes a soft-grip surface for comfortable handling. When the carrier is placed on a stable, flat surface outside the vehicle, its curved base allows gentle rocking.
