Kendamil Comfort Milk is a specially formulated infant milk suitable from birth to 12 months for the dietary management of colic and constipation. It is made with partially hydrolysed protein and reduced lactose, and should be used only after a standard formula has been tried or as advised by a healthcare professional.

Preparation

1. Wash your hands and sterilise all feeding utensils according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Boil fresh water and leave to cool for 30 minutes before adding powder. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
3. Measure the required water into a sterilised bottle.
4. Using the supplied scoop, add the correct number of level scoops. Use the straight edge inside the lid to level each scoop.
5. Place a sterilised cap on the bottle and shake well until the powder dissolves.
6. Remove the cap and replace with a sterilised teat.
7. Cool to natural body temperature and always test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding.

Feeding guide: Add 1 level scoop of powder to every 30ml of freshly boiled and cooled water. 1 level scoop is approximately 4.3g. Kendamil Comfort Milk should be fed on demand. The feeding table should be used only as a guide, as every baby may require more or less than shown. Always follow the feeding guide on your pack.

Storage and safety

• Store in a cool, dry place before and after opening.
• Do not refrigerate or freeze.
• Use within 4 weeks of opening.
• Prepare each feed fresh and use immediately.
• If a feed has not been used within 2 hours, throw it away and prepare a fresh feed.
• Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
• Never add extra powder or water, and never reheat prepared formula in a microwave.
• Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants who may have immune problems unless directed and used under medical supervision.
• Packaging may vary; always check the can for the latest instructions and best-before date.

Allergy advice

Contains milk. Not suitable for babies with an allergy to any ingredient, galactosaemia or cow's milk intolerance. Always check the product label before use.

Important feeding advice

Breastfeeding is best for babies. Kendamil Comfort Milk is a food for special medical purposes and should be used only under medical supervision or on the advice of a doctor, pharmacist, midwife, health visitor, dietitian or another qualified healthcare professional. It is suitable from birth as the sole source of nutrition and as part of a weaning diet from 6 months. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully, as incorrect preparation or storage can make your baby ill.
