Preparation

1. Wash your hands well before preparing the feed.
2. Sterilise bottles, teats and caps according to the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Boil fresh drinking water and allow it to cool for no more than 30 minutes so it remains at least 70°C.
4. Pour the required amount of cooled, freshly boiled water into the sterilised bottle or beaker.
5. Using only the scoop provided, add the correct number of level scoops as shown in the feeding guide on the tin.
6. Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well until the powder is fully dissolved.
7. Cool the bottle under cold running water until lukewarm.
8. Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding.

Feeding guide: From 6 months to 1 year, SMA recommends giving your baby 500–600ml of SMA Follow-On Milk per day, either as a drink, on cereals or mixed with food. Always follow the feeding table printed on your pack. Use only the scoop provided inside the tin and add the exact number of level scoops to the correct amount of cooled, freshly boiled water. Do not change the water-to-powder ratio unless advised by a qualified healthcare professional.

Storage and safety

• Store the unopened and opened tin in a cool, dry place.
• Do not refrigerate.
• Use the powder within 4 weeks of opening.
• Keep the tin tightly closed after each use.
• Make sure the scoop is clean and dry before placing it back in the tin.
• Prepare each feed fresh and use immediately.
• Discard any unfinished feed and do not reuse leftover formula.
• Do not add extra powder, water or any other ingredient unless advised by a healthcare professional.
• Never reheat prepared formula in a microwave.

Allergy advice

Contains milk, including lactose, and soya. Not suitable for babies with an allergy to cow’s milk protein, soya or any ingredient. Always check the product label before use.

Important feeding advice

Breastfeeding is best for babies. SMA Pro Follow-On Baby Milk Formula Stage 2 should be used only as part of a mixed weaning diet from 6 months and should not be used as a breastmilk substitute before 6 months.
